Funding For The Future

With assistance from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, Penn State researchers are pursuing a variety of initiatives that have the potential to create and retain jobs and encourage economic development. In addition to the immediate economic stimulus created by this research, ARRA funds also enable Penn State to retain numerous young faculty and graduate students who are part of the core of Pennsylvania’s and the nation's next generation of academic leadership in the sciences, engineering, and many other fields. From them will come the innovation and creativity that is essential for sustained economic growth, and for successful resolution of some of our society's most pressing problems.
